Bearing Load Ratings and Life

All calculations to determine the load carrying capacities of the Craft Bearing are based on and in accordance with American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards.

Basic Rating Life
L10, or Basic Rating Life, is defined by the ISO formula, L10 = (CR/PR)p, where:

L10 = Basic Rating Life, in millions of revolutions
CR = Basic Dynamic Load Rating
PR = Dynamic Equivalent Radial Load
P = Exponent of the Life Equation 10/3

L10 is the minimum expected life for 90% of a group of like bearings. Median life, which 50% of the group will complete or exceed, is approximately five times the rating life.
